Priot to taking radiographs,2023-032 was anesthetized with iso via a mask, and heartrates and respiratory rates were taken throughout the procedure until the patient was awake. On radiographs, there wasn't any improvment in the follicles of the right wing in comparison to previous radiographs.The follicles still had an increased soft tissue opacity as seen in the previous radiographs as well. There also wasn't signs of the follicles being biologically active at this time.  
The plan for this patient is to re-evaulate the wing in a month to see if more feathers continue to grow in.

2023-032 anesthetized with isoflurane gas to facilitate physical therapy and bandage replacement. Removed adhesive wing bandage on left wing and replaced with figure 8 bandage. Proximal muscular atrophy palpated on left humerus, likely due to misuse. Callus palpated on the left ulna, indicative of osseous union. Anesthesia monitoring involved cardiac auscultation every 3 minutes. Once finished with PT and examination, the isoflurane gas was discontinued to end anesthesia. 2023-032 recovered uneventfully and without complications.

Radiology Report:

1. Left ulnar comminuted fracture, mid diaphysis. Ulnar fragments appear well aligned. Callus formation indicating the fracture occured over 1 week ago. One fragment displaced medially will hopefully heal incorporated in the callus 

2. Hemorrhage present in medullary cavity of left humerus 

3. Right carpus - No obvious osseous abnormalities present 

Recommendations: 
- Leave bandage on left wing over the weekend and begin physical therapy Monday. 
- PT to occur 2-3 times a week and bandage replaced following therapy 
- PT to occur under sedation or general anesthesia for the first week 
- Continue Buprenorphine 0.3mg/kg SQ SID for 7 more days and Meloxicam 1mg/kg PO BID for 7 more days 

Recheck radiographs in 3-4 weeks

- Patient masked down with isoflurane and oxygen until righting reflex absent 
- Vitals recorded every 5 minutes under GA

Initial bandage (body wrap with tape) removed from left wing this afternoon. Figure of 8 bandage applied to left wing to stablaize suspected ulnar fracture. Cast padding applied directly to wing as primary layer and vet wrap to follow, being sure that the primary and secondary feathers were not crossing over when securing bandage. We will plan to check radiographs later this week to assess the left wing instability.

While 2023-032 was out for oral meloxicam, the wings were looked at again to see if imping is possible. The right wing has a large and warm swelling over the ulna and radius (mid-diaphyseal). Suspect a fracture, there is a moderate amount of bruising at the articulation of humerus with radius/ulna.

Assessment: Overall pt is bright, alert, and responsive. Does not appear dehydrated with normal BCS of 3/5. Wing position overall normal except laxity to right carpometacarpal joint. We suspect the missing majority of secondary feathers is secondary to trauma with how some where found hanging on.
Plan: Plan is to monitor pt for now. Gave an IM injection of Meloxicam (1 mg/kg; 0.19 cc)in the left pectoral muscle due to suspected carpal/ possible carpometacarpal injury. Will give meloxicam BID. May start on oral tomorrow if eating well. Plan to radiographs both wings either tomorrow or tuesday. 
Prognosis: Fair
